Postmates has introduced a new way of booking airline flights, allowing customers to log in and book flights on their own account using their phone number and email address.
The new app allows users to access their booking information on their smartphone, or in a separate mobile app.
The new system allows users of the app to book flights, and can also be used to book other travel services like hotel stays, accommodation and more.
Postmates chief executive and head of operations, Michael Glynn said it had been a long time coming for the service, but added it was important for people to be able to book their flights and book travel from home.
“Postmates’ aim is to offer a better way for customers to book, which is why we’re making this available today,” Mr Glynn told the ABC.
“We’ve listened to customer feedback, we’ve been working hard to improve the experience and we’re excited to see what the public responds to.”
He said the app would also help people find other travellers to book with, and that he was confident it would become a “major” part of the postcode bookings industry.
Postcodes are used by some Australians to get around the national restrictions on overseas travel and to fly to and from overseas.
Mr Glynn noted that Postmates was now the second most popular app for booking flights on Postmates.
He said he was “very proud” of the new service, and would be looking forward to making it available to more people.
“I think it’s going to be a great thing for the industry in Australia and for people in the region,” he said.
“The service has to evolve to accommodate this, but it’s something we are very keen on and are happy to provide the support and the support to make sure that it’s there and that it becomes as popular as it is.”
The app, which will be available to customers of all Postmates Postmates customers, includes a number of new features.
Mr O’Connor said there was a “clear benefit” to using the app for both bookings and bookings from overseas, and added it would also enable Postmates to offer travel to overseas customers through the airline.
“It’s very similar to what we’re doing on our own website, but on the platform it’s just a matter of providing a link to the Postmates website,” Mr O’Conor said.
He noted that the new system would also allow Postmates’ international customers to get into the system for bookings, and could be used for international flights within Australia, including the Australian mainland.
“You could use it to book overseas from anywhere in the world,” he added.
“If you’ve got a valid postcode in the country of destination, then it will show up in your postcode on the booking page, so that’s the kind of thing that we’re looking forward too.”
That would be the next step in making sure that we have the right system.
“He also noted that if customers booked with the app did not use the same email address and password as their Postmates account, they could be charged a fee for their booking.”
There are some limitations that you’re going to need to be aware of when you’re booking, but the vast majority of customers are using the same account,” he explained.”
So if you’ve booked with a different email address, you’re likely to be charged.
“The new system is available to all customers on the app.
Postmates said it would work with the email address provided for the app, and the password would be “shared with the Postmaster”, who would be able “provide a password for each customer”.”
There’s no fee to book a flight, but if you don’t use your phone number or your email address for the booking, you may be charged $10 to $20 to book,” Mr Coyle said.
Postcode Booking has been in the works for some time, and was announced in August 2016.
Mr O ‘Connor said the company was also in discussions with a number carriers to use the new feature for international travel.”
Some carriers, like Jetstar and Virgin Australia, have had some issues with people using their own phone numbers and passwords and we’d like to get in contact with them and see if they can help us with this,” he told the Australian Financial Review.”
In the meantime, we’re going ahead and trying to make it as easy as possible for people as well as airlines to book from overseas.
