On Sunday, March 1, Sacramento’s fleet feet teams will compete in the California Fleet Feet Championships at the Ventura County Convention Center in Ventura, California.
The event is part of the annual Fleet Feet Days celebration in Sacramento and the first Fleet Feet Tournament in the state of California.
For the third consecutive year, Sacramento Fleet Foot teams will represent the state in the Fleet Feet Championship.
In 2015, Sacramento fielded teams from all over California, including the Northern California, Southern California, Central Coast, Central Valley and Southern California.
For Sacramento Fleet, it will be the second time in three years that the Kings will participate in the tournament, as the Kings also participated in the event last year.
Sacramento is hosting the event with a total of 15 teams, including three from California.
Sacramento’s roster is comprised of six different Pacific Coast Conference teams (including Sacramento State, Sacramento State-San Diego, Sacramento-Fullerton and Sacramento State).
The team from the Northern Californian Conference has six members.
Sacramento State has four members, and Sacramento-San Bernardino has three.
Sacramento-Salinas four members have also represented the region in the past.
On Monday, March 2, Sacramento Kings Head Coach, and former NBA All-Star, Ed Cooley, will be joining the team for the tournament.
Cooley will be making his first trip to Sacramento as an NBA head coach and will be traveling with the Kings as the event draws near.

It will be an incredible experience to be able to watch the Kings compete against the Pacific Coast Division and the Pacific Division’s Pacific Conference rivals, Sacramento, who will be representing the Golden State Warriors in the finals of the event,” Cooley said in a statement.
The Kings won their first-ever Pacific Coast Championship title in the 2008-09 season and won the league’s Western Conference last season, when they defeated the Portland Trail Blazers in five games.
Cooley was a member of the Golden States Golden State team that went to the NBA Finals in 2012.
He played for Golden State from 2001-09, including during his career with the team.
Sacrofonds first-round playoff matchup against the Lakers last season was a thriller, with the Lakers going on to win the title.
The Kings also defeated the Sacramento Kings in the second round of the 2013 playoffs, which is a record that has stood for more than a decade.
In 2015, the Kings defeated the San Antonio Spurs in seven games in the first round of this year’s tournament.
The Warriors also defeated Sacramento in the Western Conference Finals.

As part of this historic event, the two teams will also have a team of 10-year-old boys named the Sacramento Cavalier squad.
The team will travel to Los Angeles for a pre-game ceremony and a ceremonial game before heading to the venue of the tournament to compete in a game against the visiting Golden State Cavaliers.
This is the third time the Sacramento River Kings have participated in a Fleet Feet event, having hosted the event at the Santa Ana Aquarium in 2011.
At this time last year, the San Diego River Kings defeated Sacramento State in six games.
